Zuma is an online slots game that finds its inspiration in a classic puzzle game of the same name. A jungle and stone background complements the symbols and sound effects effectively. With a more simplistic general layout than perhaps other slots games, Zuma still provides everything needed to play comfortably.
Below the reels, players can find Spin button sitting between the Bet selection options to the left, and Autoplay, Paytable, and Gamble to the left. Small windows show the Stake Per Win, Lines, Stake, and Total Paid numbers. Above the reels, information about the current balance can be viewed.
Symbols present in the game will be familiar to those who have played the original puzzle game. With a strong Aztec-theme, expect to find Aztec masks, Amazonian frogs and an assortment of numbers and letters.
Playing Zuma
Starting from the left, players can find a selection for the amount they want to bet per payline. Increasing and decreasing this will calculate the amount you win per line when hitting a winning combination. Increasing this will increase your stake. Next is the Lines option, giving you the choice of how many paylines you would prefer to enable. The more lines that are enabled, the more of a chance you have to land a win. This will also change your stake, increasing as more lines are chosen.
With bets and active paylines chosen, players can either choose to press the Spin button to start the round, or the Autoplay button. Pressing Autoplay will initially bring up another small selection bar, where a choice of Autoplay rounds is given. Ranging from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 50; choosing an amount will keep rounds spinning autonomously until the number of spins has been spent. It should be noted that you can choose to end the Autoplay whenever you want.
Once a round has begun, the reels will begin spinning, stopping one by one from left to right. If a winning combination has been landed, the game will highlight what the combinations are, and will display your winnings in the Total Paid box at the bottom.
Wild and Scatter Symbols
Zuma at online casino has a special set of symbols that will award players with different features and bonuses.
The first to note is the Wild symbol, which is displayed with the Zuma logo on it. This symbol essentially acts as a multiplier for any wins present, as well as a combination completion bonus. The Zuma Wild symbol can substitute any symbol in the game apart from the Scatter symbol.
The Scatter symbol is represented by a frog idol. By landing this symbol on any of the five reels, it can allow winning combinations to be completed. Landing three or more of these Scatter symbols across the reels will allow players to play the Scatter bonus for free spins. Shooting the Tiki Boss awards an amount of free spins which are then played automatically, and uses your previously chosen bet selections.
The Gamble Feature
Lining up a a winning combination during any spin will highlight the Gamble option, which is below the Paytable button. Clicking Gamble will bring a new, interactive screen. Presented with four new reels, the player can choose one to start spinning. Successfully landing a win on one of these reels will give a certain multiplier, depending on the chosen reel. This multiplier will be added to your current winnings, and the player is able to either bank or collect. Failing to win a multiplier will end the game and return you to the base game.
